Dear Parents,
We welcome you to Pack 106 and want you to join us in the Cub Scouting program. You will be involved in a year-long program that stresses Character Development, Citizenship, Physical and Mental fitness, AND we do all of the activities in a fun way while having adventures. Pack 106 has a strong emphasis on getting the scouts outdoors through camping, hikes and community service. If you enjoy the outdoors and want your child to learn more about nature, come join us at Pack 106.
With Cub Scouts your child will join a den. Each den is made up of children of similar age, most from the same school (usually Shafer or JRE). The dens make up Pack 106. The Pack meets once a month at JRE, the dens will meet 2-3 times per month to work on rank specific requirements.
One of the many benefits you will find in the Scouting program, is watching your child grow in the program. Scouting promotes good traits that help the scouts grow into solid citizens of the community. Your child will gain self-confidence, learn about service to community, and learn outdoor skills to name just a few.
At Pack 106, through the Cub Scout program the Scouts BSA provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to:
