Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”
He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
This is the greatest and first commandment. ...
And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
St. Faustina Catholic Church loves its neighbors!
As part of an outreach from the parish, events and activities
reaching out to our neighbors will be part of the Love Your Neighbor program.
St. Faustina's Diary - 742
My daughter, if I demand through you that people revere My mercy,
you should be the first to distinguish yourself
by this confidence in My mercy.
I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise out of love for Me.
You are to show mercy to your neighbors always and everywhere.
Many thanks to those of you that responded so quickly to the
request for Fans and over $10,000 in Gift Cards!
Brothers and Sisters,
St. Faustina Parish Family was called to come together
To help our neighbors in Brookshire
Due to the flood,
1300 people ranging in age from infants to adults needed our help.
The donations were overwhelming!
Help was needed to receive and sort the donations. People came.
Boxes were needed and they were delivered.
A Catholic Charities truck was filled with only half of the donations and
returned for a second load!
It was described as the "best organized chaos ever!"
Many thanks to all who donated items needed.
Helped organize the donations and more!
Your generosity is overwhelming.
God Bless!

Rosenberg Flood Recovery
May 2016 - Many homes in Rosenberg and Richmond flooded when the Brazo River rose to record levels. FM 723 and other streets were closed due to the flooding. Confirmation was set for June 6, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church which was impassable - until that morning. We had a beautiful ceremony. Within two weeks the flood recovery efforts were based at Our Lady of Guadalupe and they needed our help. The response was amazing!!

August 2016 - Baton Rouge, Lafayette and surrounding areas suffered flooding.
Labor Day weekend Fr. Dat received a call from a brother priest in Baton Rouge
and asked if we could sponsor 22 families in need of a new washer, dryer and
other household items. Just from an appeal from the pulpit at the weekend masses.
St. Faustina families responded and were able to sponsor all 22 families
by raising over $18,000.
